when i insmod the usb-uhci module with my sony vaio 505ts, the entire system
hangs.
this is with the backport applied to both 2.2.14 and 2.2.15.
i have also tried the driver in 2.3.99-pre6, which does not hang, but i get
repeated read errors whenever i try to use a device.
i've tried this with the bios switch for "PNP OS" in both positions.
usb works without a hitch in windows 98.
i've noticed that the usb interface and the cardbus adapter are sharing an
irq, might this cause a problem?
