Matthew:
I tried switching to NEC cdrom using the Belkin bridge and had much
better results in that usb-storage sees the drive and puts the following entry
in /proc/scsi/scsi -
Attached devices:
Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
Vendor: NEC Model: CD-ROM DRIVE:462 Rev: 1.13
Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 02
When I try to mount /mnt/cdrom (/dev/cdrom points to /dev/scd0 -- 11 0)
I get - mount: /dev/cdrom has wrong major or minor number
and a kernel log message -
modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module block-major-11
Do you have any idea what is missing in my kernel to cause this or what I am
doing wrong?
