Brian,

SanDisk has just confirmed to me that model SDDR-31 is their current compact
flash reader for use with Linux; already supported in Matt Dharm's driver.

For some folks, an additional advantage of SDDR-31 over SDDR-05 is that
SDDR-31 handles type II compact flash.  (I wonder how long it would take to
load a 1-gig IBM Microdrive through one of these :^) ).

They sell for ~$30.
