We've had this report and one (or two) others about
the LG Electronics Flatron 795FT Plus monitors/USB hubs
not working correctly (or USB hubs not working at all)
with Linux-USB.
Is anyone successfully using a monitor + USB hub with
Linux-USB or do we have a basic flaw somewhere that we
need to dig into?

How do I report a bug?
In addition to the information required in
/usr/src/linux/REPORTING-BUGS, it also helps enormously if you
provide the output of /proc/bus/usb/devices. If you are
having problems with your host controller being
recognised, it helps to have the output of lspci -v.
If it is supposed to be UHCI, it helps to know whether
interrupts are being generated every second.

So please include your linux/.config file (CONFIG_USB_xxx will do),
/proc/bus/usb/{drivers,devices}, and kernel logs at the time
that you connect the monitor-hub to your PC's USB port or to
an upstream hub's port.
Thanks,
