Whoa. Look at the "anyone" part there. I was not accusing you of
anything. I was just stopping a flame war on linux-usb which is not
needed.
However, since you just did turn it into a flame war, I guess you do
fall under "anyone".
Anyway, like I was trying to say, this discussion is not appropriate

This is incorrect. Please look at my last patch. I don't know which -ac
release it went into (or if even did go in), but it was sent on by Randy
atleast.

I was referring to manually issuing control messages in order to
retrieve config descriptors. That is still incorrect.
BTW - According to Alan's changelogs, the patch has gone in.
