Just added a new page with more color logs
obtained through the USB Snoopy program.

http://www.onslate.com/3com-cam.htm

There's at least one other new person working
to decode the color format.. and he seems
quite knowledgeable.. I'll leave it up to him
whether to announce his name or not
.. I wish him lots of good luck.

Also scattered some notes across the same page
with some links people might find useful..
nothing the experienced traveler here won't
recognize immediately.

I've noticed several intrepid souls saying
they have no contact or familarity with Windows,
or way of obtaining logs from the 3Com camera..
please don't let that stop you.. at least two of
us have the tools and facilities to create as
many logs as you'd like.. just ask.

As for a Linux logging tool I know of none,
but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.. again
I suggest you ask if you don't know.

The people on this list tend to have been around
here for quite some time and a recognizable
or mainttained FAQ really hasn't emerged.. hope
that doens't offend anyone.

A subtley as I can let me say there are people
on both sides of the fence at 3Com and VistaImaging
that really hope a driver for their product does
emerge.. but can't come out blatantly and say that.

Their mutal committments to one another appear to
lock either out of the possibility of contributing
to the project in a software manner of speaking.

Technically, only the color space conversion appears
to be the blockade.. I've no real interest in a B&W
driver as some have suggested.. but a few people have
expressed an interest.. to them I say go right ahead,
I'll be quite happy to wait until the csp is done
and we can get down to a netmeeting/sun forum/netopia
office clone of some sort.. until then its all academic
to me.

Lots of luck to everyone concerned.
