Hansen, if you are indexing the linux drive from win2k, what filesystem is linux runnning in? I say that because in general w2k will not read any of the usual linux filesystems (est2, ext3, reiser), so do you have linux on an msdos filesystem? if so it will be slow. try reinstalling on a decent filesystem! -- Nick Rout <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
