All logging is defined by the syslog configuration file, which is probably
/etc/syslog.conf. This is its position in the fs on Mandrake 8.x, and I don't
suppose they have had any reason to change it. In the syslog.conf file you
will find full details as to which files are used by the syslog daemon for
logging.

# Mail logging
mail.=debug;mail.=info;mail.=notice     -/var/log/mail/info
mail.=warn                              -/var/log/mail/warnings
mail.err                                -/var/log/mail/errors

Other distributions of Linux and other unixes will be different. YMMV, take
care. Use the command 'man 5 syslog.conf' ( without the quotes ) to savour
the full flavour of the wizard's brew.
