As Volker pointed out yesterday, the suse (and possibly debian) version of ppp has the setting replacedefaultroute, but I have looked into ppp CVS (cvs.samba.org) and cannot find a mention of such a feature in any ChangeLog. With this option set ppp will replace an existing default route. I am not sure if it puts it back on exit though .... Mark
