I have RTFM and tried stuff but only got 5xx internal server errors as
did the 'Allow all' idea. 'allow all' is used to allow all requests
(POST, GET , PUT) but has nothing to do with users. Thanks anyway for
your help.

I don't have much choice and I don't have control over the .htaccess
file.
