I am going through exactly the same thing.  I have copied the contents
of the DVD to a Linux server on the network.  Added an entry to
/etc/exports to make it available with NFS.

Put in the mini-installation disk and press F3 to get a list of
installation methods[1].  Select NFS, tell it the IP address and
directory on the remote server and Bob's your Aunties live in lover.

If the PC with the DVD drive is a Windows PC, you could put it in to a
shared folder and select SMB when doing the install.
