For the last couple of years a group of us have run mini-installfests
for those wanting gentoo on their computer.

The Gentoo install, while well documented and not really difficult,
tends to daunt some people as its very command line oriented, and it
helps if you know how a linux distro fits together under the hood
(you'll know after doing a gentoo install!) Many people find it a
rewarding experience knowledge-wise, but a degree of handholding is seen
as desirable by some first-time installers.

Is there any interest in this again? Last year we did this in Robert F's
garage - he now (or soon) has a bigger garage and a repeat in more
comfortable surroundings is on the cards.

The 2005.0 release of gentoo is out in february "sometime real soon". As
there will be a new round of binaries released at that time, and
binaries make initial installation _much_ faster, early march could be a
good idea.

Anyway, just an indication of interest is all i'm after at this stage.
