Hi CLUG

I am in the market for a new printer and was wondering if anyone on the
list had any suggestions for either a mid range inkjet of entry level
laser?

I have googled and checked out Linuxprinting.org but was interested in a
local perspective as well

thanks for all the replies

I'll bear it all in mind (don't want to get caught out again, as I did with my last 'non-linux-supported' Canon, I even emailed there NZ Tech Support but basically got the "bums-rush")

I note what Nick said about HP but I have checked out the Brother site and there sure looks like a lot of Linux drivers, cups downloads for Africa there.... looks very well supported to me

in reply to Dave I was thinking probably new...but I'll still check out the other suggestions
