not unless there's some disk recovery tech that can read beneath the old
FreeBSD that got installed over Gentoo.
it might be good to dedicate the following CLUG meeting to any residual
tasks, updates, & maybe a talk on the advantages & differences people
get from using Gentoo. i.e. perhaps some sub-community continuity.
absence of that followup was why i didn't persevere last time.
