I have to wonder what you where listening to music with? If it were amarok, i suspect you wouldn't have had that problem, allthough of course amarok is a resourse hog in it's own right, but it does give prioriy to keeping the music tidy and unbroken, even at the cost of corretly displaying what you are listeng to, should you be critically low on resourses.
