Cups seems to be installed and so is Samba, and the smb.conf makes
references to printer. Like I say it works fine locally. Do I have to do
anything in CUPS to share the printer or does it automatically get
shared somewhere?

I can add the printer in windows fine but it says cant connect to it. I
assume that is because it is not shared on the linux based machine.???

As to the other comments and web sites to read I have read them at least
once but am getting overwhelmed as to what I am supposed to be doing LOL
:-) so if I have not responded to others helpful comments it is because
I am confused.
