As Nick said the MythTV (or Win MC) are much more versatile than the basic off the shelf units. There is also an NZ company which can sell you a built up MythTV setup and also do your updates remotely so you have an "off the shelf" solution. See http://www.mypvr.co.nz/mypvr/ Rob
