I *wish* it was that simple.  I wasn't even thinking about devfs, and
i've never been brave enough to touch the stuff on I32 hardware, much
less PPC.  
I know for a fact that immediately after the install, the mount point
was on /dev/hda9.  Although for all I know, perhaps the YDL kernel is
built that way (although i can't see why, and there is no mention of
it).
