I just bought myself a SONY CYBERSHOT PSC-31 digital camera for work use. It sports a 2meg ccd,USB interface and uses SONY's proprietary memory stick for storage.
Although there's no definitive blessing of this unit working with linux, it does indeed work quite well. All you do is load the usb drivers, sd_mod, read the output from dmesg and mount the "discoverd" scsi drive as a VFAT partition. Once mounted, I was able to browse the pictures with Konqueror. The PSC-31 was onsale as a special for $150.00. You can probably find similar deals in your locale. Cheers. -- ************************************************************************* ***** Registered Linux User Number 185956 http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&safe=off&group=linux 8:27pm up 84 days, 1:38, 5 users, load average: 0.01, 0.05, 0.01 _______________________________________________ Linux-users mailing list - http://linux-sxs.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-users Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Archives, and Digests are located at the above URL.
