Did you run ldconfig after installing qt-3.0.3? Did you 'make clean', 'rm config.cache', 'make -f Makefile.cvs', and './configure' again (IOW start from scratch) for arts and kdelibs? Are $KDEDIR, $KDEDIRS, $QTDIR correct? KDEDIR=KDEDIRS=/opt/kde3 QTDIR=/usr/lib/qt3 (as long as /usr/lib/qt3-><where qt3.0.3 really is>) <error snippage> > > However kdebase has not karked it at make, I have not installed it because > I am supposed to install arts and libs first, however if it is not being > started or overwriting kde2 does this matter? can i do it in any order or > not AFAIK, kdebase shouldn't build if arts and libs isn't built and installed. Do you have pieces of the old kde3 (compiled against qt-3.0.4) installed? How did you get kdebase to compile without arts and kdelibs? -- Caldera eWorkstation 3.1+, kernel 2.4.18-preempt, KDE 3.0.1, Xfree86 4.1.0 4:00am up 2 days, 8:17, 2 users, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00 It's what you learn AFTER you know it all that counts _______________________________________________ Linux-users mailing list - http://linux-sxs.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-users Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Archives, and Digests are located at the above URL.
