Hi. I'm not sure if this is off topic or not. I'm thinking about buying a dvd/cd writer for my linux machine replacing the current cdrom (IDE). I saw a Sony for about $300. Does anyone have experience with this? Is there anything I should watch out for or know about in using it on Linux? Would the cd writing howto cover the setup for a dvd writer or the combination dvd/cd writer, or is that a whole different thing?
