Yes, a box on XFS comes RIGHT UP after a hard shutdown, but things are and will be missing.
Would any system save unsaved material if you pulled the plug? I'm surprised you'd end up with a partially corrupted file. Don't these journaling systems step back to a stable time before the power was lost? (I'm probably confused about journaling)
