Another factor to consider is that there's a triving industry that depends
on Microsoft creating insecure, buggy software (e.g. Norton, McAfee, and
the army of MCSEs required to deal with these problems).

One of the prime problems we have going into a business saying we can save
them a ton of money is that their IT guys figure it's their jobs we're
going to eliminate if we replace the Windows systems with reliable, Linux,
Mac OS X, FreeBSD, or other *ix systems.  In addition to job security these
MCSEs are afraid they might have to learn something more than the 3 Rs of
Microsoft, Reboot, Reboot, Reinstall.
