Although I have a linksys 4 port which does make an excellent firewall, with port forwarding and stuff like that. Quite useful, and setup is accessable using a web browser.
I like the SMC routers with the printer and backup modem dialout capability. One potential gotcha, sometimes the cable modem connection to the router needs a crossover cable rather than a straight through.
