Hi All,

I have been using Linux for about 12 months, playing with Red Hat and SUSE.
I recently came across a review for Mandrake, I have not used it before, I
installed it on one of my Thinkpads this morning for the first time, it
automatically recognised my USB Zip Drive, and I am hoping it will be able
to do the same with my USB ZIP CDR Drive.

Does Anyone know if my USB ZIP CDR Drive can be used under Mandrake to burn
CD's from Linux ?

Does anyone know if the use of USB Hubs is supported under Linux, and again
in particular Mandrake Linux ?

It is my understanding that Mandrake is based on Red Hat, but put more
untested versions of software into their Dist. Is it possible to therefore
install Mandrake, I have a copy of Version 8, and then use Red Hat RPM to
add to the Mandrake Dist and have it work.

Just how much difference is there between Red hat and Mandrake when you are
under the hood ???

Thanks in advance for taking the time to reply to these questions, on taking
my first install this morning I am suitably impressed.
