kde difficulties continued

thanks Doug, while looking at the gui log per D Bandel's book
recommendation I did find this:
/opt/kde2/bin/kdm_greet: error while loading shared libraries:
/opt/kde2/lib/libkdeui.so.3:undefined symbol:style Change_8QtoolBarR6QStyle

anyone have any ideas what I should or can do about this?
