I had this same problem quite some time ago with the bread failure.
Now I cannot remember what it was exactly that I did, BUT, I do remember
it was hardware related. I do not think that i had a CD drive problem it was
more like
cable or ide bus. Could the cable be loose, or even gone bad. I do know it
got fixed.
