I'm using kylix with success on Libranet (Debian). If you did the system (root) install I think there is an additional setup step you should do, but I'm not sure. Be sure to read the INSTALL file throroughly. I just run ./startkylix in my home directory. (I installed to a kylix directory off my home (user) directory)
