Arrggghhhhh!! There I was trying my host name been 5 hrs trying to d/l files.
So I guess that the command string I use then is:
scp -r [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~/photos/
This I guess will download the whole of the photos dir to my machine and 
if I just use scp [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~/index.htm/ that will download just 
that file ??
