Thanks mate, just what I need 'in plain english'. I have been trying for days now to upload or download files all to no avail. In the end I also deleted, by mistake, my .ssh file, took me a while to realise what I had done. I was also trying the sft command but that was saying "permission denied (publickey), unsure what this meant, but is it saying that the public key on the remote and mine do not match ? Funny because I can login with ssh if that is so. -- Keith Antoine aka 'skippy' 18 Arkana St, The Gap, Queensland 4061 Australia PH:61733002161 Retired Geriatric, Sometime Electronics Engineer, Knowall, Brain in storage _______________________________________________ Linux-users mailing list - http://linux.nf/mailman/listinfo/linux-users Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Archives, and Digests are located at the above URL.
