My second 7.x experienced first hand, first one in Bucharest in 4/03/77 on the fourth floor of a an old concrete apartment building http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1977_Vrancea_earthquake Can't say this one brought back any pleasant childhood memories... Compared to my previous experience, in wooden buildings like the one I live in now things fly farther through the room. All good here, just a bit of broken crockery. Being close to city centre, I consider myself lucky with the house still upright, all utilities running, and no damage other than the former chimney resting its bricks all over the place on the roof.
