and within hours of making our final decision on the name we get a
swarm of really big aftershocks. Perhaps we invoked Rūwaimoko.

And to bring it back on topic for a linux mailing list - macrons are
really easy now. In KDE I just selected Māori as my keyboard layout in
the gui preferences thingy, and then you can just hold down right-alt
+ any vowel to get āēīōū. Gnome is probably just as easy.
For comparison, does anyone know how easy it is to do on Windows (out
of the box without buying a special Māori edition).
How about Mac OS/X?
