I was brought up ( after CP/M! ) with RSX and later VMS and they were
really good, reliable systems, although VMS did bloat like all OS's seem
to do. Shame it died really ):

Making Unix a friendly place for VMSers was fun... plenty of 1 to 1
command mappings, and I got most of EDT working on vi, too!
