Must be a property of the X server, not of the fonts. Actually, in a
typical TrueType font file there is absolutely *no* information about any
mapping from 8bit codepage position to glyph index. The only mapping
defined within the font is from Unicode to glyph index, and it is the
responsibility of the display engine to map from codepage to Unicode before
accessing the font.
