>From what I've been able to find out about the F700 on Google, the camera should have two USB modes, probably selectable when you connect the camera to the computer. Make sure you select the webcam mode and not the disk mode. Then, if it still doesn't work, please send me a copy of the webcam USB descriptors. You can retrieve them using the lsusb command (don't forget to add the -v option).
