Please set the quirks parameter to 2 when loading the driver

modprobe uvcvideo quirks=2

If the driver is loaded automatically by your system, unload and reload it 
manually.

Try luvcview -f yuv again and report any message printed by the uvcvideo 
driver in the kernel log (dmesg) if it still fails.
