Sorry for a newbie question. I'm thinking of purchasing a Linux-compatible webcam, and while looking for models that work under OpenSUSE 11, which I am using, I noticed that there seem to be two general solutions for webcam support, gspcav and uvc.
Could someone quickly brief me in on the major differences between the two? Do they constitute equal alternatives for webcam support, or are there certain advantages / disadvantages to them? Which one should I be concerned with when looking for a Linux webcam?
