Please note that this list was based on the information I had at the time. Run the following command lsusb -v -d 041e:4058 | grep bStillCaptureMethod This should output the still image capture method supported by the device. 0: No still image capture supported 1: The host software will extract the next frame from the active video stream 2: Higher-quality still images through the video pipe 3: Higher-quality still images through a dedicated pipe Even if a device reports no still image capture capability (0), the host software can always use method 1. Method 2 and 3 are currently not supported by the uvcvideo driver.
