Very interesting topic.
I noticed that width=:hight = do not work and tried the one below which uses
software scale.
mplayer -ontop -framedrop -cache 8192 -stop-xscreensaver -vf scale -tv
driver=v4l2:outfmt=yv12:device=/dev/video1:fps=25 -xy 1.2 tv://
