Dmitry, can you make a new 'zb' message that originates in the attached serial device and allows them to send a debug message? By default the message should do a printk(). The zb-debug messages need to be legal in any state the serial driver may be in.
It is difficult to debug these drivers when the serial line is tied up with packet protocol.
