The reason I figure I should start following it relates to the kicking around
of ideas earlier on the list about merging lib5250 with the functionality from
a tn3270 emulator.  The idea has come up a few more times in other places
since then.  I'm undecided as to whether it will be worth the effort, or even
how much effort it would be, but it has the potential for saving a lot of
duplication of effort and doubling the number of developers :)

I've recently come to the conclusion that eliminating duplication of effort in
free software is more necessary than I previously thought, since I've noticed
there aren't as many of us free software developers as I previously thought.
We just try to work smarter and have a larger base to start with :)

These are ideas I'm considering for the long term.
