For this type of thing, I've been using a program called "xev" (I believe
it comes with XFree86, tho I dont know for sure) With xev what you do is
just press a key, and it tells you lots of info, including the keysym.
I dont know if thats easier or harder... but I thought I'd pass the info
along for anyone who might want to try it :)
