In the email you sent me, which is copied below, I see you included my account user ID, password, full credit card number and expiration date, all in plain text email. (I deleted the critical information in the copy below). I find this the height of stupidity as far as protecting customers private information. To send this through email makes the information freely available to anyone who knows the slightest bit about computers and email processing.
It is difficult for me to believe that anyone who works with computers or the internet would be so stupid as to send this information in email, especially automatically through your server.
For this reason I have decided not to do business with NERC and will advise anyone else to avoid you as well. If you treat people's personal information in this way, especially credit card information, you do not deserve to be in business.
I find this action, on your part, so outragious, I must post this complaint to news groups and user groups I participate in so they can avoid trouble with their personal and financial information being made publically visible. I feel I must also advise consumer protection agencies as this is a tremendous threat to peope's privacy and information identity.
Please straighten out this problem immediately!
