actually, the goal is to log into the *little* one remotely -- the fact that it's connected to a bigger one might be useful but it still hasn't solved the problem. i'm convinced at this point that as long as the little one has effectively a R/O filesystem, there's not much i can do easily. rday -- ======================================================================== Robert P.
