Hi, I am planning to build a small NAS server at home starting with a single 250GB drive if possible, and then expand to a software RAID5 of three or more 250GB drives within a few months.
Googling the matter, I was referred by the software RAID howto to the raidreconf tool. Both in the howto, and in raidreconf man pages it says that the toold "seems" to be stable. Has anyone used the tool? anyone had any problems with it? and is there anyone who is aware of any specific bugs associated with any specific hardware/software configuration? finally, is there any other tool that does the same job?
