Greetings all! I just installed SUSE 10 on my system and am slowly migrating to it from Windows XP. I've been reading some tutorials I've found to help familiarize myself with the file system and using the terminals, etc. Coming from a Windows background, I am concerned about security and maintenance (cleaning out cookies, temp files, etc.). While not a "guru" by any means, I can accomplish what needs doing on my own through windows, but I've found the continual influx of viruses and the ever-rising costs of basic software disgusting. So, having been curious about using open source software and the recent improvements to such...dove in!
I've not found a lot of information in these areas and was wondering if you could point me to an informative site that would provide the answers to my questions. Several of the forums I have found speak a little too much "Linux-ese" to be helpful to me and often delve into topics that are far outside the scope of what I can possibly internalize right now! So, to make a long post longer, I turn to this group, in hopes that someone can help me make sense of it all. Thanks, Christine ------------------------ Yahoo!
