Have you got GRUB in your package manager repository, you could then
get rid of lilo and install grub. Never tried it myself but should
work?? failing that you'll have to install GRUB via command line.

When you get GRUB type grub at the command line you will get the
shell. You can reconfigure stuff using the guide in Sect 3.2
