I am new to linux and I'm looking for a distro that fits on 1, 2, or
(at most) 3 CDs. It has to have a GUI and it must be able to connect
to the net with almost anything. Something with a ton of drivers and
good hardware detection. I'm not asking for something with a lot of
office apps or games, just enough to connect to the net with. Then I
can download all of the apps, games, and utilities I want. I am
lookoing at getting a PC with at least 1GB of RAM, 2GZh processor, and
40GB hard drive. It might be the Dell that's been blown up 20 or 30
times on the internet or it could be something from a pwan shop. I
want to replace Windows with something better and I think Linux might
just be what the doctor ordered. The more info you guys give me, the
better.
