2. i checked the "files" section at the group's webpage on yahoogroups. 3. i searched the archive 4. i also googled, but got swamped with info. what i did look up, didn't seem too helpful. doing all the above i didn't find an answer to my problem so i'm posting now. my question is, i want to set up linux on a spare computer for the express purpose of watching (legitimately owned by me) DVD's. some are copy-protected, some are not. the ones that are NOT copy-protected view ok. i'm having problems with the copy-protected ones (of course). i know that i have to download some kind of driver/CODECS, but i'm not exactly sure which one or how many. i also would like to know the URL of a safe site that would have the needed drivers/CODECS (assuming that places like freshmeat and distrowatch do not have them. thanks for your help, j ------------------------ Yahoo!
