Gary, 1. Linux is in essence a community thing. Community = rules. 2. If you don't like rules, leave the group. Probably best to leave Linux too. In essence it works on rules too. 3. The Owners and moderators generously give of considerable time and effort to people they don't know, or otherwise would give two knobs of goat shit about. Many belong to lots of Linux help groups, and receive literally hundreds of emails per day. Observing simple netiquette to assist the owners, moderators, and other gurus is in selfish terms, only helping yourself. 4. Such an outburst shows contempt for those who would help you and I think shows lack of depth of thought, and immaturity. 5. I have observed a marked drop in responses to requests for help in this group as netiquette has fallen to the wayside. Newbies helping each other is akin to the blind leading the blind. Many of the posts have demonstrated this recently with debate where a clear-cut answer is required. 6. By posting to this group, you state that you have implicitly agreed to the rules of the group. 7. Stop stamping your feet and holding your breath, you naughty little boy, and go to your room and think about what you've done.- And don't come out until you've grown up a little bit. Clay.
